Who We Are
Two sisters, a small team of women, and a shared love for the ocean of Tamarindo.
Meet the founders

Debbie & Patty Palacios
It all began in 2014, when two sisters decided to bring to life a dream that had been years in the making. What started with a home sewing machine, plenty of creativity and the thrill of designing one-of-a-kind pieces for themselves and their friends soon grew into a passion with purpose.
After countless hours of work, learning and dedication, DE'LOHANA was born: a brand created to celebrate the beauty, confidence and free spirit of every woman.
In 2017 we opened our first physical store and online shop in Playa Tamarindo, Costa Rica, turning a shared dream into reality. Since then, our collections have traveled with women from all over the world, carrying a little piece of the sun, the sea and the essence of our land.
Every design reflects our story, our passion for detail and our desire to create pieces that inspire confidence, freedom and unforgettable moments.

Made to give back
By 2050 there could be more plastic than fish in our oceans. We refuse to add to that. Our fabric breaks down in landfill conditions, leaving no microplastics behind. Swimwear that disappears when you're done with it, not the reefs.

Social commitment
A part of every sale supports single mothers in Costa Rica, providing fair work and the freedom to build a future for their families. When you wear De'lohana, you carry their story with you.
To create handmade swimwear that makes every woman feel confident in her own skin. Crafted with care in Costa Rica, kind to the ocean, and built to last beyond a single season.
To become the swimwear brand women reach for when they want to feel like the best version of themselves. A label known for craftsmanship, community and respect for the sea.
What we stand for
Handmade with care
Every piece is sewn by hand in small batches, never mass-produced. Quality and detail over quantity.
Kind to the ocean
We work with biodegradable fabrics and limited collections so that what we make protects the sea we love.
Women supporting women
Made by women, for women. We celebrate the women who wear De'lohana and the women who create it.
